About the event
26 storeys reduced to 10 on Hatfields??
In 2021 Southwark Council granted permission for a 26-storey office block between Hatfields and Paris Gardens, despite significant local opposition. But the developers Overcourt have seen sense and are proposing a scaling down of the buildings to 10 storeys to match the height of other buildings on Hatfields. What do you think of the new plans? You can view them at the public exhibitions at 3 Paris Garden on Thurs 13 July, 5:30pm-7:30pm + Sat 15 July, 11am-2pm and here Paris Garden | (whatyouthink.co.uk)
Are developers going in the right direction?
Have your say!53 storeys? 70 storeys? Up up up at 18 Blackfriars
A large office and housing scheme was first approved by the Secretary of State in 2008 and several times since by Southwark, growing ever larger. New US owners Hines are proposing a huge 800,000 sq ft office and 440 homes (including 40% affordable housing?) in two towers which would be the tallest of the cluster of tall buildings (until the next time?), with shops and plaza spaces at ground floor surrounding Christchurch Gardens. Will this become a real place to enjoy? Have your say!
This General Meeting was originally scheduled for 11 July, but this clashes with Lambeth Planning Applications Committee consideration of the Waterloo Health Centre application - if you want to see the papers or watch this in the luxury of your home click here
